About Us

When peace of mind matters the most, don't you want to take your dogs to place where they will be safe, have a great time, and be watched and played with, along with lots of TLC?

Then why take your pets to a depressing boarding kennel, when they will be so much happier here in a home environment?

We have a fenced in backyard and your pets will have 24 hour a day supervision. We own a 4 year old Miniature Poodle and all your doggy needs to be both "People Friendly" and "Doggy Social" and we will take care of all the rest while you are away.

We have over 11 years experience, and have already welcomed into our home way over 1000 doggy's. Also, we will accommodate all special needs your dogs may have, including giving any daily medications, as per you or your Vet's instructions, at no additional charge.

Also, for everyone who is on Facebook, we usually take daily pictures and post them on your wall, so when you're gone, you will be able to see for yourself, how much fun your dogs are really having.

So, whether you need our helping hand for a few days, a long extended weekend, or going on vacation for a week or two, or even longer, please give us a call to schedule your Doggies visit at "Camp Poppe". (Dan and Rita, 262-377-6611)

We also have a "No Alpha Personality Policy" (Meet and Greets for certain breeds will be mandatory)

My husband and I were in town for our son to move into his dorm. Lucy is my ESA dog, but Is not fully trained yet. I was worried about leaving her in a hotel room, and bringing her with us. I had contacted a lot of local places who told me flat out they don’t do drop-ins. I reached out to one other rover contact before finding Rita and Dan.

They absolutely saved me from a straight up panic attack. They asked me a few questions and were a little hesitant because they hadn’t met her yet. I was so comfortable with them and the way they were caring for all the other dogs they had there that I left completely happy. I knew Lucy would love playing with the other dogs.

I will used them ever time I come up to the area from now on. They are wonderful!! Thank you so much for the wonderful care of my pup.

They are responsible and make sure my dogs are safe and always have the love and care they need. My dogs are never locked up like they would be at typical kennel. Our puppy was fighting tummy issues as we dropped him off for a week long stay. Dan and Rita kept to his dietary restrictions and nursed him back to 100%. He also came home with better manners that he left with!

Had a great experience using Rita and Dan. We left our dog there for 8 days for the first time which was a long time to start but as soon a so went for our meet and greet I felt very comfortable with that. I received pictures, videos and updates throughout the week. They were very flexible, and nice people, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. You can tell how many people like them with their following on social media and how many dogs they have on the daily. They have a system down. I am so lucky to have found the. Our dog came back exhausted which was great to come back to after vacation!

They are flexible with drop off/pick up times and are always willing to take care of my kids on short notice. I found Rita and Dan a year ago when we needed someone to watch our then 6 month old black lab puppy for 8 days. I was terrified to leave him for the first time. Rita was so welcoming and we hung out for awhile in the morning, so I could see how Champ reacted and to make sure he was comfortable in a new setting. After about 3 minutes he was loving life and wouldn’t even come inside to say bye to me! During our vacation they checked in multiple times per day, sending me messages and pictures of how much fun Champ was having with his new friends.
I am so thankful to have found Rita and Dan. They treat every dog like their own and are always available anytime, day or night, for last minute stays or even for a fun play date just for the day. Thank you both for everything you do!

We were so lucky to have stumbled across Dan and Rita 3 years ago! We don't know what we would do without them! They are so reliable and flexible and love the dogs. They have even been there for us through two emergency drop offs when I went into labor with my first and second child...not to mention all the other times our pup has needed care. Our dog otherwise has anxiety when left alone or with unfamiliar people...but not with them. They treat our dog and us like family. It is a little bit of a drive for us, but frankly we don't trust anyone else. We know that our dog is safe and happy...in a home snuggled up on a couch getting cuddles and tons of playtime.

My experience may be a tad different than most, as one of our dogs that stays with Rita and Dan is blind. After years of struggling with separation anxiety, I can honestly say, we have found “Ike’s“ second home where he is treated with such care and concern at all times. He no longer gets anxious in the car or traveling to and from boarding. He is very calm and seems so content in coming and going from their home. I no longer stress about bringing him or our other digs to the kennel because I know when we leave for vacation they are in great hands. They are being treated like royalty! We are so thankful to have found a loving place for our sweet dogs to stay. I would recommend them to anyone.

Awesome dog sitters. All dogs of all sizes, and they all play together. If your'e dog doesn't play well with others, this is not the place. Be assured, all dogs get along at Dan and Rita's.
