Exceptional animal care at your home provided by well-qualified caregiver with over 40+ years of experience with horses, livestock (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs), poultry, and pets (dogs, cats, pocket pets).
I serve mostly the Valley Center area with a few exceptions.
Qualifications:
- Raised on a 1500 acre cattle and sheep ranch in Santa Ysabel where most days were spent in the saddle bringing in the stock. When there wasn’t stock to be brought in I was still in the saddle (or bareback). Always with my animals.
Many nights spent with the animals during calving, lambing, kidding, and farrowing season.
- Started showing horses at 5 years old
- Showed cattle and sheep in 4H and FFA for 10 years
- Member of Large Animal Technical Rescue Team and Water Team
- Member of Emergency Response Team (experience responding to several local fires since 2008 and the Camp Fire 2018)
- Deployments: Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Florence
- 6 years as a Humane Officer - dealt with all types of behaviors and breeds of dogs, cats, and many other animals.
- Certified in Pet CPR
- Teach livestock and horse husbandry for 10 years
- Teach Emergency Response Team livestock handling in emergency situations
- Certified at Colorado State University Equine Academy
- Coached San Marcos High School horse judging team 2002-2004
