My promise to you is that I will treat your babies as though they were my own. I have been caring for other people's Cats for 30+ years. I started Professional Cat Sitting in 2021 after reassessing my life after the loss of my Wellness Business due to the Pandemic. Once I started I remember thinking "What took me so long, this is definitely the job for me" It just seemed so obvious. I have only recently joined the Meowtel family so I don't yet have many ratings here, however I have many glowing references that I can share with you should you need them.
I'm a Kiwi born in Holland that has been traveling the world since I was a child. I have lived in San Francisco for 12 years now. I am a passionate cat lover and have always had cats - I've even traveled the world with them. I currently have 2 Burmillas - Ruby and WaWa. Burmillas are a very high energy sociable breed so there is never a dull moment in our home. One of our girls has a mystery nerve condition so needs a lot of extra care. I love caring for her at this level. She has pain flare-ups when the weather changes and she requires a lot of patience and special attention. Snuggles and playing with my girls is always the best part of my day. I really don't know what I would do without them.
In Australia I volunteered with the Cat Protection Society so I have interacted with cats of all sorts including shy, neglected and traumatized kitties. Cats seem to love me as much as I love them. I work especially well with Elder cats and Kitties with special needs. I have a Veterinary Assistant Certification from SF City College and am currently studying to become a Cat Behaviorist.
I have served Clients with a high level of professionalism all my life, having owned and operated an Acupuncture Clinic and being a Practice Manager in the Medical Field. I was a Registered Nurse in Australia before moving here to San Francisco in 2010. I'm meticulous and organized and have given all manner of medications.
I live in the Mission Dolores Neighborhood so I am convenient to many neighborhoods. My preferred neighborhoods are Mission / Castro / Noe Valley / Potrero Hill / Bernal Heights / SOMA / Twin Peaks. Having said that I do have a car so really I can get to most neighborhoods without too much effort, so if your neighborhood isn't listed let's talk!
I am fully vaccinated for COVID and as a Nurse I am a constant hand washer. I am happy to adhere to whatever precautions you prefer. After all it is your home!
I believe that in order to give your kitty the best care 35 minutes is the minimum time I will spend with them if they are out and about.
