About Us

Howdy from both of us! We're Josh and Cara, full-time pet care professionals in Fitler Square. We specialize in small/medium dog boarding, dog walking, and home visits for cats and exotic pets. We are fully insured for dog boarding, pet sitting, and dog walking.

We have known Cara and Josh since the summer of 2021, when we moved to Philly with our shy rescue dog, Ollie. We can’t overstate how wonderful they have been with Ollie, who needs lots of TLC, and has blossomed with them. They are thoughtful, reliable and available, and care for each dog in an individualized and tailored way. Ollie has also boarded with them on multiple occasions and done well (better than we had even hoped!), and we loved receiving photo updates.

Just as importantly, Cara and Josh are the consummate professional and responsible business owners. It is extremely easy to communicate with them, and they go above and beyond to come through for their clients. We truly could not be more grateful to have connected with them in Philly, and recommend their services so, so highly.

We met Cara December of 2021 on the streets of Philly walking a dog. She was so warm and inviting from the moment we met her. Our family was excited for the arrival of our new puppy, Sonny and we were on the look out for a dog walker. We immediately felt comfortable with Cara. Once Sonny arrived to our house a few weeks later Cara came over to meet him and she was wondeful off the bat. Cara was so warm and loving to Sonny and most importantly she has been so reliable. Cara is extremely well organized, generous with her time and always gives us updates on his walks and or overnight stays with her while we are out of town. When we are out walking with Sonny and run into Cara, he is always happy to see her. Cara is just wonderful and we would recommend her services to any pet owner.

Cara and Josh are the definition of “dog people”. My sweet Cocker Spaniel Gordie has spent many days, nights, and weeks with this tag team power duo. They treasure and love Gordie as if he was their own - and he treasures and loves them right back. Every time we pass by their home, Gordie wiggles with anticipation to see them. Cara and Josh came recommended to me as home boarding sitters from a trusted source and I feel so lucky to have found them. They send consistent photos and text updates depending on your preference for frequency. They are very thoughtful and conscientious about booking dogs who are good matches should they have multiple overnight boarders. They are transparent about the dogs interactions and I love that Gordie gets so much supervised playtime with new friends. When Gordie exhibits off-behavior, like an especially gunky eye or a little limp, they swoop in with excellent communication, suggestions, and next steps. As my first and only pet, I had a lot of anxiety but that has been assuaged!

All in all, I am thankful to have found a home-away-from-home for Gordie when I have to travel. It’s a vacation for him, too!

Cara and Josh are hands down the best dog walkers and sitters in Philadelphia. I recommend them to every fellow pet owner I know. As an anxious attached dog owner, I feel so secure when I leave Princesa with them. They care for her as if she is their own. They take her on lots of long walks, send cute photos of her cuddling with them, and give her a lot of love and care. She is always so happy when she gets to be with them. I have been using Cara’s and Josh’s service for over two years now, and I feel so grateful to know Princesa has got the best care in Philly. If she can’t be with me, they are next best people she can be with.

I would 100% recommend the dog walking service provided by the team of Josh and Cara. From the very first interaction they were extremely accommodating and friendly. I have a dog that is extremely reluctant to warm up to new people and is now fully comfortable in the care of Cara when she walks him multiple times a week. I feel completely at ease when having my dog walked with Cara.

As the mom of a very small dog, I am anxious leaving my little guy Ollie anywhere. It’s not safe for him to board in a big kennel, and if you ask him, he’d prefer to sleep on your pillow. Thankfully, we found Cara and Josh! They have a safe and loving home, they make sure all their canine guests are friendly and get along, and as far as Ollie knows, he’s just there having a sleepover with his friends. I feel great knowing he is not only well-cared for, but is having a vacation of his own when I have to be away. I appreciate the photo updates, the attention to detail, and I love seeing Ollie get excited to arrive and see his pals - it makes me feel a lot less bad about leaving him behind!
