About this Pet Care Provider
Dog lover for life and can't live without them, :) They have always been a part of my life.
Making dogs and people happy brings me great joy and one way I do this is by sending pics & videos through out the stay along with messages and updates on how your fur baby is doing. :)
We are three home body people here to care for your dog and one of us is stay at home 24/7. My sweet husband loves animals and is stay at home Dad. I work 4 days a week out of the home for 5 hours each day (25 hours a week outside the home). My 9 year old child is also an extreme BIG HEARTED dog lover!!! :)
6 years paid experience pet sitting in pet's homes in early 1990's and recently joined Rover in April of 2018. I have 38 years unpaid life experience with dog, cat, chicken, rabbit and rodent friends.
Enjoy spending time with animal friends and have a better than normal work ethic (my Mom is from Kansas and so I raised me that way). Your doggie babies will be very happy to spend time with our family.
Dogs are taken out separately if they don't get along (or together if they do) into the yard to use restroom, run, play and hang out with me while I garden as I love being outside even in bad weather as I work outdoors. If your dog does not get along with other dogs please bring a kennel trained dog, I have to keep dogs safe that is number one priority. Thank you.
Dog friends are very healing for our my family and bring us great joy. We love to snuggle, bond with, cuddle and pet doggies. Pet sitting is a constant vacation for our family as we meet so many wonderful dog friends and their owners who become part of our family.
When I was 19 I saved a dog from being sent back to the pound (he barked at people and attacked some) by asking the current owner (my landlord) to allow me to have the dog. They said I was not allowed to have dogs and rent the cottage so I had to move out upon that decision but it was worth it.
We have had our current dog Ellianna (Ellie for short) for 5 years (she was about 3 when we got her from Humane Society) and our outside cat (Max) for 7 years (cat found us LOL).
We also have two female chickens outside in pen, free range when it is safe for them (depends how your dog(s) are with them).
Our yard is about 6000 sq ft total (7200 sq ft. lot with house on it). I have a very small front yard so the backyard is big. There is mostly grass with trees and large shrubs for shade. There is some dirt to dig too for fun. No rear neighbors. Fur friends who stay here get all the exercise they need in our big back yard. We throw balls and Frisbees or get them excited so they run around. I no longer offer dog walking out side my back yard as it is too dangerous for many reasons and the safety of your pet is my number one priority.
I LOVE pet sitting because I get to have new and wonderful dogs and human friends in my life on a regular basis. The hardest part is watching my new dog friends leave after we bonded so close.
Our family is very down to earth and not fancy. We are real and honest. The three of us work together as a team to care for your pets. I provide a safe and loving family home environment that your dog stays at while you are on vacation. Dogs go in and out of the LARGE yard about 10-20 times a day. 1st outside trip is around 5:45am and last one out is at about 11:30pm because my hubby and I keep different schedules which is good for your dog(s). We put water up and away around 6pm to avoid over nite accidents. All dogs sleep indoors here.
Experience administering medicine to dogs. Dogs that are nervous I feed by hand or sit with them, etc. I spend a lot of cuddle time with dogs. Cuddle time on the couch is welcome for dogs that are completely and fully potty trained.
Please be transparent about dogs that are not fully potty trained so I can keep them in the large kitchen and not allow them on to the carpet/wood floor areas of the home. I do accept them but they can't have full run of the house and you need to bring a crate for male dogs who can't help but to mark inside. Please respect this as the kind thing to do. :-)
Please also understand that I cannot accept extremely aggressive big dogs or any dogs that fight other dogs. Thank you for respecting this. :-)
Thanks for checking into leaving your dog with our family!! :-) Lets have a meet and greet interview in person (or by phone if dog is small and/or very obviously non-aggressive by what can be seen from video chat) to see if your family and dog are a fit with ours. :-)
Please bring all shot records at meet and greet or via email or regular mail prior to dropping off dog. This is required for the insurance I carry for my services. Thank you.
Thanks for checking in at the Galvin's family house. :-)
