I was a veterinary technician for 8 years and started my own pet sitting business full time in 2018.
Caring for animals will always be my passion. As a child, I was the quiet kid who was taking care of neighborhood strays - naming them, giving them food and water, and making them cardboard houses. I will never have a career that does not include animals.
I’ve seen firsthand how stressful boarding facilities can be. Many of the boarded dogs we saw were stressed, developed stomach upset from stress, would not eat, and they were not able to get as much attention as they would from home. It made me emotional on a daily basis and I felt awful for them.
In home visits with your pet enables them to remain in their own environment, keep their routine, reduce stress, and receive my undivided attention.
Overnight stays are an option with a flat daily fee.
Since I make my own work schedule, I am flexible and can spend a lot of time with your pets. I know to be respectful, attentive, and will treat the animals and your home as if they were my own. My pets are like children to me. Because of this, I ask myself how I would want my own pet to be treated and provide that same level of care to your fur babies. I am happy to send daily updates via photos and video. Sometimes, I FaceTime my own dog while I’m watching yours! Ha!
I'm completely comfortable with all breeds and sizes. I I have experience caring for dogs, cats, fish, birds, tortoises, pigs, and horses.
I am able to provide fluids, administer medication, and remain calm and assertive in various high stress situations.
Plenty of references available, including past employers, clients, etc.
