I've been pet sitting for friends and family since 2003 and began branching out to other members of the community as a side job in 2017. During that time, I also spent six months working at a local doggy day care center where I learned a lot. In July 2018, I left the day care center to walk dogs and pet sit as a full-time self-employment career.
My last dog was 17 when she passed away naturally in my arms in 2019 so I am incredibly comfortable taking care of senior pets. My new pup found us at the end of that same year and he’s still very young but dog- and people-reactivate so I am learning how to overcome those types of issues as well.
I also have experience with horses, bearded dragons and rabbits as I have owned them myself. I have also taken care of clients’ goats, fish, donkeys and chickens. I am also comfortable giving insulin shots to diabetic pets.
