I am a retired teacher of 27 years. I worked mostly with students with autism and other disabilities. I decided to retire and pursue my dream of having my own fitness business. In the midst of all of this I had to put down my last two fur babies. Milo was a sweet and lovable blue nosed American Pittie and lived to be 15 when we had to make the decision to put him down due to poor health and cancer. A few months later Max, a super affectionate and lovable brindle stray that wandered up on the school grounds of one of my former schools with his brother and sister as puppy, was almost completely blind and deaf and beginning to suffer from arthritis pain and also had tumors causing him to struggle breathing when we had to put him down at age 17. Max and his siblings all had parvo and Max was the only to survive. He was a fighter from the beginning to the end! After losing Max I knew I did not want to have to go through losing another fur baby and I also did not have time to adopt another fur baby while starting a fitness business. So I took my love for fitness and my love for animals and decided to start Furry Friends Fitness. I have had pets my entire life including dogs, cats, fish, parakeets, a chinchilla, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and a gecko. I also grew up on a farm with cows, horses, chickens, pigs and goats. Although you have lots of options for pet care, I offer love, compassion, fitness through play and walks throughout the day, and much more. I provide drop in visits that include play time and walks, feeding and giving water. I also provide overnight stays in your home where your fur baby is most comfortable without the stress of boarding with multiple pets/animals.
