About Us

About Me and My Pet Care Experience

*I pet sit other types of animals outside cats/dogs, please message me with details to see if I would be a good fit to sit your unique pet and we can discuss pricing for those diverse types of pets as well*

I work from home 4 days of the week and typically must go into the office for the whole day (8am-5pm) on Wednesdays; off work on Saturday/Sunday. I am very flexible with this work from home schedule allowing me to spend more time with your pets while caring for them during your absence but do have to go to the office 1 day a week (very rarely 2 days a week). I will always keep you updated when my work in office days occur during your booking.

I’ve had dogs be a part of my life since I can remember. Growing up, I had the pleasure of taking care of and learning from many different dogs, including pit bulls, labs, and other mixed breeds. Most of these dogs I grew up with were also rescue dogs or strays we decided to take into our home. With this experience, I am comfortable with mid to large sized dogs and dogs who may have slight behavioral issues due to their history. I have worked with dogs with high energy, slight anxiety, and slight reactivity issues. I am excited to learn more about your pup(s) and any other pets you would like me to take care of in your absence to see if we are a good fit!

With all of that being said: while I have worked with dogs with behavior issues, there is still liability and an inherent risk I take on as a pet sitter regardless of how well behaved or not well behaved your pets are around new people. I will not jeopardize my personal safety to take care of your pets and strongly recommend if they have strong behavioral issues that you seek out specialized care for your pup(s) or other pets that need a caretaker. With that also being said, absolutely feel free to reach out to see if we would be a good fit as I want to help you as much as possible!

Safety, Trust, & Environment

Your home is my home! I will always do a perimeter/sanity check and make sure everything is in its place and keep everything tidy at home so you can relax when you get home. I will also check mail and sort for you, take the trash/recycling out, and make it look like people are still home! I can also take your dog on a walk around the neighborhood, but it is important to note I will NOT take dogs outside for walks without paw protection unless the temperature permits under any circumstances (if it is too hot for you to walk barefoot outside, then it is certainly too hot for your pet to walk outside barefoot). Ask any questions and I’ll have an answer for you!

A Typical Day

A typical day dog sitting for me is what your dog wants and trying to match their normal routine as much as possible! High energy means we can go on a walk around the neighborhood or to the local dog park you routinely take your pet to. We can also just sit at home and watch Netflix or just play in the backyard!

We can discuss my current rates and what your needs are to see if we are a potential match and get a complimentary meet & greet scheduled (see bottom for more info on required meet & greet). I aim to respond within 24 hours to your initial message (usually sooner).

A complimentary meet & greet at your place of residence with you and all your pets needing my care is REQUIRED before finalizing a booking and must be done a minimum of 3 DAYS IN ADVANCE of your booking starting. There is no guarantee I will agree to the booking until after I have done the meet & greet and agree to book your booking request which may be communicated up to 24-48 hours after the meet & greet takes place. It is recommended to do this as far in advance as possible to ensure you are not looking for another pet sitter at the last minute during the 3 days before your booking dates you requested in the case I do not feel like we are a match and decline your booking request.
