My name is Michaela and I am The Pet Nan. I am an Elite Sitter with the Omaha Area Pet Sitters. I would love to meet you and your babies to determine if I’m the best fit for your family.
I am insured and Pet CPR and first aid certified. I’ve been involved in pet care for over 20 years. At the beginning of 2023, I was able to turn my passion into my career when I became a full time pet care professional!
I enjoy working with many different species of animals and love all of them (except spiders). I pride myself on continued education of animal research and behaviors as experts learn more of how they relate to us and to each other.
I have worked with reactive and anxious animals my entire career and tend to gravitate towards them. I have a special gift that puts their mind at ease while slowly establishing trust and familiarity. In fact, my husband and I just last year rescued a sweet lab named Angel. She was very suspicious and anxious at first but has really opened up to us in the time that we’ve had her. Now she’s mentoring our newest rescue, her puppy brother, Dino.
My most popular services are pet sitting and daily drop in care. During each drop in, your babies will be cared for in the comfort of their own home. Each visit can include water refresh, feedings, client provided medications (as needed), litter box and/or cage cleaning, outdoor time (outdoor pets only), dog walks and plenty of playtime, love and attention. Along with caring for and loving on your babies, I can also do light housework, water plants and bring in mail/packages.
I would love to set up a free meet and greet in your home. I also have great references if you would like to speak with some prior to meeting me.
