My name is Christy, the proud owner and a devoted animal lover of Wild at Heart Pet Care. I grew up in Michigan and animals have always been a huge part of my life; from having rottweilers, huskies, chows and cats as family pets to helping neighbors take care of their horses. After I graduated from college I embarked on a 15 year career in the zoo field as a zookeeper. I had the amazing opportunity to work with African elephants, black rhinos, hippos, giraffes, cheetahs and other African hoofstock and birds. Being a zookeeper only intensified my love for taking care of animals. I have experience obtaining blood samples for glucose monitoring, giving oral medications or injections.
